Covid-19 claims seven including CRPF man; toll reaches 195
JK reports 346 new positive cases, tally reaches 11173
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported seven more Covid-19 related deaths, including that of a CRPF man, in past 24 hours taking the death toll to 195.
Officials said that seven patients who died include a 35 year old CRPF man who died at SMHS, 60 year old male from Nadihal Baramulla, 65 year old male from Shopian, 47 year old man from Talab Tiloo, 75 year old male from Tangmarg Baramulla and 60 year old two patients from Anantnag.
The 35-year-old CRPF man of 66 Bn CRPF Baramulla was admitted in SMHS Srinagar on Monday where he succumbed to the infection. The deceased hailed Nowshera Rajouri and was cremated in Shamshan Ghat Karan Nagar.
Meanwhile, the total number of Covid-19 positive patients in Jammu and Kashmir reached 11173 today with 290 testing positive in Srinagar and 56 in Jammu division.
Officials said that 128 more Covid-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals, 28 from Jammu and 100 from Kashmir division thus taking the number of recovered patients to 6223.
“Out of 11173 positive cases, 4755 are Active Positive, 6223 have recovered and 195 have died; 18 in Jammu division and 177 in Kashmir division,” officials said.
They said that out of 466333 test results available, 455160 samples have been tested as negative till July 14, 2020.
Providing district-wise breakup, the officials said that Bandipora has 401 positive cases (including 16 cases reported today) with 103 Active Positive, 295 recovered (including 06 cases recovered today) and 03 deaths; Srinagar has 1933 positive cases (including 127 cases reported today) with 1357 Active Positive, 530 recovered (including 06 cases reported today), 46 deaths; Anantnag district has 860 positive cases (including 58 cases reported today), with 248 Active Positive, 597 recovered, 15 deaths; Baramulla has 1337 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 727 Active Positive, 572 recovered (including 27 case recovered today), 38 deaths; Shopian has 929 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 213 Active Positive, 699 recovered (including 02 cases recovered today) and 17 deaths; Kupwara has 805 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 288 Active Positive, 506 recovered (including 33 cases reported today) and 11 deaths; Budgam has 586 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 252 Active Positive and 320 recovered cases and 14 deaths; Ganderbal has 205 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 101 active positive cases and 100 recoveries (including 10 cases recovered today) and 04 deaths; Kulgam has 1028 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today), with 328 Active Positive and 678 recoveries (including 10 cases recovered today) and 22 deaths and Pulwama reported 701 positive cases (including 39 cases reported today) with 322 active positive cases and 372 recovered (including 06 cases recovered today) and 07 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 524 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 169 active positive cases and 344 recoveries (including 06 cases recovered today) and 11 deaths; Udhampur has 303 positive cases with 26 active positive cases, 276 recovered (including 03 cases recovered today) and 01 death; Samba has 269 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today) with 124 Active Positive and 144 recoveries (including 06 cases recovered today) and 01 death; Rajouri has 285 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today) with 191 active positive cases and 93 recovered (including 04 cases recovered today) and 01 death; Kathua has 326 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today) with 96 Active positive and 229 recovered (including 05 recovery today) and 01 death; Kishtwar has 55 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today) with 28 active positive cases and 27 recovered (including 02 cases recovered today); Ramban has 271 positive cases (including 01 case reported today) with 62 active positive and 209 recoveries; Reasi has 60 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 21 active positive and 39 recovered; Poonch has 147 positive cases (including 01 case reported today) with 25 active positive and 121 recoveries and 01 death while Doda has 148 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 74 active positive cases and 72 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today) and 02 deaths.
