Srinagar: While fishing on the banks of Dal lake, a minor fell into the waters near Dalgate on Monday.
Sources said that seeing the minor falling into the lake waters, some locals immediately retrieved him before the police party rushed to the spot.
Later the boy was taken to SMHS hospital but was declared brought dead by the doctors there. He has been identified as Ayan Ahmad Sofi (9) son of Abdul Majeed Sofi of Khaniyar.
