Srinagar: The killing of former BJP president for district Bandipora, Wasim Bari his father and son has been condemned widely.

Lt Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu while condemning the killings said that the barbaric act is against the humanity and the perpetrators of this cowardly act shall be brought to justice.

He expressed his deepest sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.

Advisor to LG, termed the killings as senseless and murder of humanity and said the militants and their handlers are carrying such acts because of their frustration due to the pro-active role of our security forces against militancy.

He said the perpetrators of this cowardly act shall be brought to justice.

Meanwhile, President, Jammu and Kashmir BJP, Ravinder Raina attended the funeral of the BJP leader and his father and brother.

Terming the killings as “huge loss” for the party, Raina said that Wasim Bari was a “tiger” who stood for India in Kashmir.

“Pakistani militants did not like these deeds of Waseem and that is why they killed his family,” he said.

CPI (M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami also condemned the killings saying, “There is no justification to kill anybody and violence has no place in any civilized society. The brutal incident has deeply shaken the entire Kashmir Valley”.

Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari termed the incident as highly deplorable and demanded that the perpetrators of this heinous act should be brought to justice.

Bukhari demanded immediate review of security cover of all political activists including those whose security cover has been withdrawn recently.
