DSEK to start state of art Model School in Kashmir

SRINAGAR : Department of School Education is all set to start a state of the art model school, equipped with all the facilities as per latest global needs in Kashmir division.

As per an official handout, Director School Education Kashmir, Mohammad Younis Malik said that the Government has taken up the erstwhile National School Karan Nagar Srinagar for the purpose and the school will start functioning as a model school.

Giving the details, Malik said that the model school will come up with all the modern teaching learning facilities which will be at par with any reputed private school of the country and the facilities will include teaching through smart class rooms, CT laboratory, Model Kindergarten, laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology besides language labs.

He said that the school which is known as National School Karan Nagar is now the property of the School Education department and the government has decided to set up a model school here and provide free quality education to the students.

The Director said that the school will enroll students from Kindergarten up to 12th class and the admission process is likely to take off in near future.

The Department of School Education has so far started Kindergarten in 91 schools of Kashmir division and to provide free quality education to maximum number of students, the department is going to start 200 model Kindergarten schools in all districts in near future.

The model KG schools will be established in all districts catering all the students including those living at the toe end.

Meanwhile, the Director has reiterated that the department is committed to provide free and quality education to all the students enrolled in government run schools.
