Rescue operation on to trace another missing teenager

Ganderbal: The body of one among the two missing boys who had reportedly drowned in river Sindh, on Sunday, was fished out by a joint team of SDRF and police on Monday near Preng area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

On Sunday the teenagers, residents of Palpora- Srinagar, drowned while taking a bath in river Sindh near Kijpora area of Kangan following which a rescue operation was launched by police, locals and SDRF team.  The body of one of the missing boy, Zahid Farooq Rather, was retrieved today morning while another one was still missing, an official confirmed.  The search and rescue operation is on to find out Rashid Ahmad, the official added.

Meanwhile, SDM Kangan, Hakeem Tanveer said that efforts are on to trace out the body of another missing boy for which a joint team of SDRF and police is on job.
