Two boys drown in river Sindh, rescue operation on

Srinagar: Two boys drowned in Nallah Sindh in Kijpora area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday late afternoon.

A senior police officer told Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the two boys aged 17 and 18 drowned in the Nallah while taking a bath.

He said that soon after the incident a rescue operation was launched by locals, SDRF and efforts are on to trace the duo.

The officer identified the duo as Zahid Umar and Faisal Ahamd-both residents of Noorbagh Palpora Srinagar.

The rescue operation was going on when this report was filed.
