55-year-old from Magam, dies of Covid-19, toll reaches 122
Srinagar: A 55 year old man died at SMHS hospital in Srinagar after he had tested positive for the deadly Covid-19 infection.
Dr Nazir Choudhary, Medical Superintendent SMHS said that a 55-year-old male patient from Magam with “appendicular lump and bilateral pneumonia” died at the hospital late evening on Friday.
With the death, 122 people so far have succumbed to the virus in J&K— 108 from the Valley and 14 from Jammu division.
Srinagar district with 29 deaths has the highest fatalities followed by Baramulla (21), Kulgam (16), Shopian (13), Budgam (10), Anantnag (9), Jammu(8), Kupwara (6), Pulwama (four), Doda (2) while one death each has been reported from Bandipora, Poonch, Udhampur, Rajouri and Kathua. (GNS)
