Sopore: In an ongoing gunfight which broke out between militants and forces in Hardshiva Sopore during wee hours ,two militants have been killed so far.
A top Army official said that two unidentified militants have been killed in ongoing encounter at Hardshiva Sopore, however, bodies are yet to be recovered as operation is going on.
He said that following the inputs about presence of militant, a joint team of Police, Army’s 22 RR and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Hardshiva.
“As the joint team approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, ensuing an encounter in which two militants have been killed so far,” he added.
Meanwhile, authorities have suspended mobile internet services in entire police district sopore as precautionary measure.
