JKSSB releases 40 recommendations of withheld cases at its 171st Board meeting

JAMMU: J&K Services Selection Board today released 40 recommendations of withheld cases at its 171st Board meeting.

The meeting was chaired by Board Chairman, Khalid Jahangir.

The meeting was attended by the Members of the Board, M. Shafiq Chak, Pritam Lal Atri, Harvinder Kour. Controller of Examination JKSSB Musheer Ahmad Mirza, Special Secretary (Legal) Jung Bhadur, Secretary, JKSSB Ranjeet Singh (KAS) and other officers/officials assisted the Board in conduct of its proceedings.

During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held on various agenda items related to pending/withheld recommendations of various posts of Jr Staff Nurses of Five new GMCs, Naib Tehsildar, Management executive, Manager Hostel, Technical Assistant, Account Assistant, Clinical staff for casualty Bed (GMC Kathua) and Junior Assistant (Migrants), pending Selections for the post of Jr Scale Stenographers/Junior Assistant, pending court cases, cancellation cases etc and after due consideration, appropriate decisions were taken.

The Board examined 43 withheld cases in respect of which recommendations were pending due to different reasons like non submission of certificates, recognition status of institutions, verification of category certificates etc and decided to release 40 number of recommendation of withheld cases and deferred 3 cases for further clarifications.

Pertinently, the Services Selection Board has decided to expeditiously dispose of all cases of withheld recommendations in a time bound manner and in the past few months have decided hundreds of such cases, giving immense relief to the candidates. All these measures are aimed to bring efficiency and accountability in the governance of the SSB.

Besides, the Board also approved the pending selections for the 62 posts including 52 posts of Jr Scale Stenographer under item no.’s 282,133,370,340,711 of advertisement notification no. 02, 05, 06 and 09 of 2013 and 10 posts of Junior Assistant under item no.339 and 363 of advertisement notification no. 06 of 2013 and cancellation of the candidature of the candidates in 3 different cases.

Further, Board also examined 9 different Court cases relating to which directions/orders were passed by the Courts from time to time and after thorough discussions, decided to dispose of 7 cases, deferred one case and referred one case to GAD for obtaining necessary sanction for filing of LPA.
