SRINAGAR: Extending gratitude to the union home minister and lieutenant governor of J&K for nullifying the clauses of SRO-202 mentioned in new recruitment rules, Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) on Tuesday urged the government to set-up a high level committee to undo the injustices committed by the previous governments and compensate the employees already recruited under the contentious SRO during last five years.

Reacting to the decision on SRO-202 vis-à-vis new recruitment policy and reducing the probation period from five to two years for old appointees in J&K, Ghulam Hassan Mir, senior leader of JKAP stressed on the government to do justice with the employees who were recruited by the government from time to time since 2015 under the obsolete SRO.

“Doing away with applicability of SRO 202 in new recruitment policy notified by the J&K government recently is a big achievement for the people especially the job aspiring youth who were about to bear the brunt of this unconstitutional SRO. JKAP lauds intervention of union home minster and Lieutenant Governor G.C Murmu who took serious cognizance of our demand and removed the inequality in recruitment rules,” he added.
