Srinagar: Police on Sunday claimed to have solved a theft case by arresting two accused persons involved in the commission of crime.

A police spokesman said that on 10th June, PS Karanagar received a written complaint from a resident doctor posted at SMHS Hospital Srinagar stating that some unknown persons have broken into his car and stolen laptop, cash and some clothes lying in there.

At the time of theft, the vehicle Celerio bearing registration number JK01AB-9684 was parked in the premises of SMHS Srinagar.

Accordingly, Case FIR No. 42/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered in PS Karanagar and investigation was initiated.

During the course of investigation, police taking assistance of modern techniques learnt about the involvement of one accused person identified as Fahad Nazir Bhat son of Nazir Ahmad Bhat resident of Watalkadal Safakadal. He was arrested and shifted to PS Karan Nagar, said the spokesman.

Moreover, police also came to know that he has sold the stolen laptop to one individual identified as Azad Ahmad Khan son of Gulzar Ahmad Khan resident of Hamdania Colony Bemina. Subsequently, he was also arrested and stolen property was also recovered from his possession.
