Several employees’ deputations meet MD JPDCL

JAMMU : Several deputations of representatives of Employees today called upon the Managing Director, JPDCL Jammu, Yasha Mudgal and held threadbare discussion on the issues faced by the staff due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The reputations discussed issues related to regularization of daily rated staff and promotion in various categories against the vacant posts.

Interacting with the deputations, the MD desired that the revenue realization must be achieved at the earliest to achieve the targets set by the Government. The representatives ensured that the target would be achieved by mobilizing the concerned connected staff round the clock.

The MD informed that the amnesty scheme regarding recovery of arrears has been extended by the Government for 1st , 2nd & 3rd  instalment till 30th June, 2020, 31st July, 2020 & 31st August 2020.  She asked the concerned staff to pursue and educate the consumers for availing the amnesty scheme and pay the amount of arrear within the stipulated period of time fixed by the Government.

The other issues raised by the deputations were coverage of the field staff of various levels under the COVID-19 insurance scheme at par with the similarly situated employees of the Union Government.

The MD assured that the issue would be taken up with the Government at the appropriate time. Besides, insurance the representative also sought release of payment under Ex-gratia relief to the beneficiaries.

Regularization of Daily Rated Workers and Promotion in various categories against the vacant posts was also brought into the notice of Managing Director. It was assured that the concerned Chairperson of various DPCs would be instructed to make efforts to complete the procedure for convening of DPC and clear the deserving candidates as per statutory rules.
