Delegation of JKAP calls on Lt Governor

JAMMU : A delegation of J&K Apni Party called on the Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu today here at the Raj Bhavan and apprised him of various issues of public importance.

The delegation comprising of former Minister, Manjit Singh; Vikram Malhotra; Namrata Sharma and Pooja Kapoor submitted a memorandum of demands and issues pertaining to parking of vehicles, management of quarantine centres, mining of minor minerals, power supply to border residents for farming & de-silting of minor irrigation channels in IB Villages, crop compensation ahead of fencing, traffic lights installation in Samba, establishment of Fire Station at Vijaypur, revival of business activities in Samba district, regularization of Daily Rated Workers, SRO 202, restoration of 4G internet service, issues of disengaged DIPR stringers etc.

Meanwhile, Councilor Ward No 10, Vijaypur, Nikki Mahajan, who was also part of the delegation, put forth public issues of the area including upgradtion of medical facilities and need for dismantling an old building of the Municipal Committee Vijaypur, which has been declared unsafe.

The Lt Governor interacted with the members of the delegation and assured them to take up the genuine demands and issues projected by them for examination and early redressal.
