JAMMU: Secretary, Hospitality & Protocol (H&P), Civil Aviation and Estates Department, M Raju, today convened three separate meetings with the senior officers and officials of H&P, Civil Aviation and Estates Departments at Civil Secretariat, Jammu.

While chairing the meeting of Civil Aviation Department, Secretary examined the projects under Capex plan being undertaken by the department which included construction of Hangar of Airport Jammu, extension of Nehru Helipad Srinagar, extension and development of Airstrips and Helipads in UT Jammu and Kashmir.

M Raju also reviewed the working of subsidized Helicopter Scheme of MHA which provides option of Helicopter travel to people of remote areas of the J&K. He stressed on effective usage of Helicopter and Aircraft Tonnage provided by the government of Jammu and Kashmir.

Later, M Raju convened a meeting with senior officers of Hospitality and Protocol Department and reviewed the functioning of the department. He issued several directions to further streamline the working of the department.

Additional Secretary H&P, P S Rathore, briefed the Secretary regarding functioning of the Directorate of H&P, the Resident Commission and Toshakhana Office. Other issues that also came under discussion were the assets and properties being managed by the Directorate of H&P and the Resident Commission, UT of J&K, New Delhi.

M Raju directed the officers to put up all pending issues before him which require immediate disposal. The matter of referring vacant Class-IV posts of the Department to the Committee constituted by the General Administration Department was also deliberated upon.

M Raju also chaired another meeting of senior officers of Estates Department and took stock of working of the department besides assessing overall review of all the projects of the department which are in pipeline.

Secretary directed the officers to complete all the languishing projects in a time bound manner including construction of 400-flats at Pampore Srinagar, 28-flats at Sarwal, Jammu, 28-flats at Ahata Amar Singh, Jammu, 28-flats at Lower Muthi, Jammu, 5-flats at Ghulami Bagh, Jammu, projects for which work has already been initiated and under progress.

He was apprised that the Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for thousand (1000) flats (500) each at Jammu and Srinagar are being expedited for submission to the department for further action. Besides, development of software for allotment of Government accommodations projects is in pipeline.

Director Estates, Subash Chhibber, Director Finance H&P/Civil Aviation, Mohammad Arif Khan, Additional Secretary Civil Aviation, Sat Pal Bavouria, Joint Director H&P, Ansuya Jamwal, Deputy Director Estates Kashmir, Deputy Director Estates, Jammu, besides other officers attended the meetings. Director Hospitality & Protocol, Tariq Ahmad Zargar, Assistant Director H&P, Nisar Ahmad Bhat and other officers and officials participated in the meetings from Srinagar through Video Conferencing.
