SRINAGAR: The Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole Wednesday in meeting convened here reviewed the flood preparedness and status of construction of bridge at Naidkhai in Bandipora.

Among others the meeting was attended by Chief Engineers of I&FC, and JKPCC, Collector PHE/I&FC, besides Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora who participated in the meeting through video Conference.

The Div com directed the Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora to speed up the pace of all ongoing works including projects taken up for flood preparedness and construction of bridge at Naidkhai. He asked the DC to take all necessary measure to remove bottlenecks if any with regard to these projects at an earliest.

Regarding land acquisition process and shifting of the families who came under the process, the Div Com asked the DC to complete the course by the end of this month, while sets the deadline for completion of Naidkhai bridge June 30, 2020.

The Div Com stressed on following the Covid-19 protocol/guidelines in letter and spirit while executing any development/construction work in respect of labour etc in the district.

The Div Com asked the Chief Engineer JKPCC to submit the requisition with regard to labour, their movement and other logical support to the Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora at an earliest to ensure timely completion of all works.

Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora and collector PHE/I&FC apprised the meeting about the present status and progress of the developmental projects undertaken by the concerned departments in the district till date.
