Tangmarg: In a shocking incident last night, burglars looted the house of a COVID-19 patient in Hard Ichloo Tangmarg.
The village has been declared red zone as 14 cases of Covid-19 have surfaced there.
While the head of the family Mohammad Akbar Ganai son of Abdul Gaffar Ganai of Hard Ichloo has been quarantined in Dobiwan quarantine center and his three other sons are in hospital quarantine in Sub-District Hospital Sopore, the burglars allegedly barged into their house by breaking a window and robbed it during the intervening night of 4-5 May as the entire family was in quarantine and decamped with cash, jewelry and other valuables things..
Meanwhile, police has registered an FIR (54/2020) under IPC sections of 457/380 (lurking house-trespass or house-breaking by night) and 380 (Theft in dwelling house) into the matter.
A team of police and forensic experts have reached the spot and investigation has been taken up.
