11 persons test positive for Covid-19 in Baramulla

Baramulla: Eleven persons including five members of a family from Sopore tested positive for Coronavirus on Thursday, taking the total positive cases in Baramulla district to 84.

A health official said that the four persons from Hardu Ichloo Tangmarg and seven from Sangrama and Naseembagh tested positive for Covid-19 in Baramulla district.

A top health official dealing with contact tracing of Covid-19 infected people said that following death of an elderly man in GMC hospital on April 13 and a doctor on duty in GMC was also tested positive and Sopore family has visited Baramulla for condolence and five tested positive.

“We are tracing the contacts and all primary contacts of the old town lady has been quarantined,” he added.

Already declared a red zone, Malpora village has so far witnessed 12 positive cases of Covod-19 which the highest number in the district.
