4 doctors, 19 paramedics among 30 people quarantined in GMC Baramulla

Baramulla: Four doctors, nineteen paramedics of GMC and family members of the doctor are among the 30 primary contacts traced and subsequently quarantined as the first doctor from Government Medical College Baramulla  tested positive on Tuesday at SKIMS,

Medical Superintendent Associate Hospital GMC Baramulla, Dr. Syed Masood told Kashmir Images that unfortunately a doctor posted at GMC Baramulla was tested positive today ringing alarm bells among the health officials.

“It seems an accidental contact as right now we are unable to find the known contact yet. The doctor might have come into contact with some patient accidentally and he was immediately isolated,” Dr. Masood added.

He informed added that so for 30 contacts of the said doctor have been traced and they have been quarantined which include four doctor, nineteen paramedical staff and his family members.

“GMC received reports of 80 tests, 79 were negative and one was positive that of the doctor,” he added.
