Well Equipped COVID-19 Wellness Center established at B’la: DC

BARAMULLA: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo, said that a well equipped COVID-19 Wellness Center having the capacity of 100 beds has been established at Indoor Sports Stadium, Bramulla, as a move to scale up activities for combating Corona virus outbreak.

He also informed that the wellness center has been fully equipped with all the requisite medical necessities so as deal with any kind of exigency that may arise due to the virus outbreak.

Meanwhile, the DC along with the concerned authorities inspected several locations of Kreeri and its adjoining areas to review the implementation of the related health Advisories that were issued in view of current circumstances especially observing lockdown and maintaining social distancing.  The inspection was conducted following the complaints, received from these areas regarding the violation of prescribed guidelines.

On the occasion, DC took an appraisal of the situation and directed the concerned to implement all the advisories and avoid any gathering so that the risk is mitigated. He appealed people to cooperate with the administration adding that administration is making all efforts to ensure all support to people including delivery of essential commodities at their door steps. He lauded the PRIs and other volunteers for helping the district administration in theses trying times.

He also inspected the Community Health Center, Kreeri, where he took stock of various medicare facilities and directed the concerned authorities to provide health services keeping in view all the prescribed norms and regulations with respect to Corona virus outbreak. He also inspected some medical shops and urged them to keep masks and sanitizers available for people at minimum retail price besides directing them to avoid any kind of gatherings at their centres.
