ISM distributes AYUSH medicines free at Div Com, DDC offices

SRINAGAR: As per the advisory of Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India and on the instructions of Director, Indian Systems of Medicine (ISM), J&K, immune boosting AYUSH medicines were distributed free of cost among employees of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir and District Development Commissioner, Srinagar.

The process of distribution was initiated from the office chambers of Additional Commissioner, Kashmir (AD Com) Bilal Ahmad Bhat in the presence of Divisional Nodal Officer ISM COVID-19, Kashmir.

Additional Commissioner, Kashmir, appreciated the ISM doctors and paramedical staff of Directorate of Indian Systems of Medicine (DISM), who are on the fore front in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in the Valley.

Notably, around 500 employees of Directorate of Indian Systems of Medicine (ISM) including Medical Officers and para-medical staff, are working tirelessly in the field along with their allopathic counterparts in all the districts of the valley.

Divisional Nodal Officer ISM, COVID-19, Kashmir and his team of doctors instructed employees about the mode of consumption and dosage of these immune boosting medicines.

The employees were also made aware about the universal preventive measures against the spread of COVID-19  including regular hand washing, social distancing, coughing and sneezing etiquettes and other related precautions which need to taken in present crises.

Pertinently, the process of distribution of Immune boosting AYUSH medicines has also been initiated in all the districts of Kashmir division by respective District AYUSH Officers.

On the occasion, the Divisional Nodal Officer ISM, COVID-19, Kashmir, pledged that the fight against COVID-19 will continue till the eradication of disease.
