Uri: A 45-year-old man was critically injured on Sunday after a bear attacked him in Boniyar tehsil in Baramulla district.
The injured man was identified as Abdul Rasheed, son of Rustam Ganaie, resident of Batangi, Boniyar.
An official said that he had gone to a nearby forest in the village to collect the wild mushrooms when he was attacked by a bear. “He was taken to PHC Boniyar for the treatment where from he was later referred to GMC Baramulla,” he said.
