JAMMU, MARCH 26: Public Health Engineering Department today issued an advisory and urged public to ensure judicious use of water following the Coronavirus scare in Jammu and Kashmir.

The advisory further said by turning-off the tap during 20 seconds of hand washing, 2 liters of water can be saved and a family of five individuals would save 100 liters per day.

Urging responsible citizens to conserve tap water, the advisory said that it would ensure adequate water supply for health workers and communities who are fighting hard to prevent the spread of Coronavirus pandemic.

In case of grievances or complaints regarding water supply, people can call PHE toll free number 1800-180-7045; Jammu: 9419186479, Kashmir: 0194-2477207.
