Centre aiming to create best sports infrastructure in JK: Union Sports Minister

GULMARG, MARCH 6: Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Kiren Rijiju today said Government of India was aiming to create best sports infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking during Talk Show in Gulmarg, he said that said Centre is mulling to create best indoor sports infrastructure in J&K.

He added that work on indoor stadiums that are coming up in all districts would be completed this year.

Advisor to the Lt. Governor, Farooq Khan, Secretary Youth Services and Sports Sarmand Hafeez, DG Youth Services and Sports Dr Saleem ul Rehman, Secretary Sports Council Dr Naseem Choudhary were also present on the occasion.

During the event, Union Minister interacted with players and sports enthusiasts.

Notably, the Union Minister arrived here to inaugurate first winter games chapter of Khelo India.
