SRINAGAR, MARCH 5: Two days training-cum-workshop conducted by the Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department Srinagar for strengthening Electronic Public Distribution System (e-PDS), concluded here today. The training was conducted by the SPMU team of the department.

Officers of the department from all the districts of Kashmir Division participated in the program and were made aware about the need and importance of the various aspects of e-PDS.

The training program focused on data purification by means of verification and rectification at the ground level. The program also focused on the online transportation and transactions of food grains through PoS devices which have already been introduced by the Department to ensure hassle free distribution of foodgrains to the bonafide rationees.

Besides, officers of the Department were briefed about the importance of the Aadhar seeding with the Ration card data.

The general public is also requested to furnish their Aadhar who have not submitted the same yet to the concerned Sale outlets.
