Secretary KVIB chairs Bankers meet

JAMMU, MARCH 04: Secretary J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB), Rashid Ahmad Qadri, today reviewed performance of various banks under JKREGP and PMEGP schemes.

The meeting had detailed discussion on bank wise performance of districts Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Udhampur and Reasi in implementing JK Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) and Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP).

Among others Deputy Chief Executive Officer KVIB, Deputy Chief Executive Officer KVIB Jammu Division, Lead District Managers, Directors RSETI, Cluster Heads J&K Bank and District Officers KVIB from Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Udhampur and Reasi besides Regional Manager JK Grameen Bank Kathua, Jammu and Samba were also present in the meeting.

Secretary appreciated the banks for collaborated team work with KVIB in sanctioning the cases in time thus contributing towards tackling unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir. He highlighted several issues and sought full cooperation and commitment from the bankers towards addressing the issue of unemployment in J&K.

The meeting assessed bank wise performance of PMEGP and JKREGP schemes of KVIB for the current year which was satisfactory.

Other issues which were also discussed in the meeting included pending cases at bank level, uploading of claims, EDP training under JKREGP, PMEGP and NSSH schemes being implemented by KVIB.
