Commissioner Land Records reviews functioning of Revenue Department

BANDIPORA, MARCH 04: Commissioner Land records (North Kashmir) Khurshid Ahmad Sanai Wednesday reviewed the functioning of the revenue department besides taking stock of the digitization and progress of writing and updation of Jamabandis in Bandipora district.

He was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Bandipora Reyaz Ahmad Beigh, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and Patwaris of the district.

The meeting discussed threadbare various issues pertaining to the Revenue Department including digitization of land records, measures being taken for removal of encroachments on state and Kahcharai land, status of writing of Jamabandi, status of writing of Girdawaris, attestation of pending mutations, conducting of Girdawari Rabi and submission of Goshwara-Jinswara, distribution of pass books, inspection of Patwar Khana and report of Karguzari, availability of Patwaries in the field and ban on conversion of agriculture land.

On the occasion Sanai directed for early completion of writing and computerization of Jamabandis and directed to meet the deadline of March 31 so that all the scanned documents are updated.

He said that error-free revenue land record is imperative for developmental activities and asked the concerned to be careful while updating the documents.

Sanai directed for imparting regular training to the field officials to acquaint with the use of modern gadgets and technology, saying that this way the capacity building of the available manpower would increase manifold.

On the occasion ACR Bandipora informed that the process of digitization is being monitored regularly and the Jamabandis are updated and cross checked to ensure error free records. He assured the officers that the field staff will expedite the Jambandi process to meet the deadline.
