JAMMU, FEBRUARY 29: Five employees of Excise and State Taxes departments participated in the recently concluded National Masters Athletic championship which was held at Panchkula (Haryana).
Those who participated in the event included State Taxes officer Anissa Nabi, Inspector Arya Vir Singh Jamwal and Sub Inspector Ashish Singh Manhas from State Taxes department and Senior Assistant Amit Kumar and Senior Stenographer Vishal Sharma from the Excise department.
Anissa Nabi brought laurels by winning silver medal in the 800 mtrs event where as other employees also showed excellent performance in different field events. It is pertinent to mention here that Anissa Nabi is a marathon runner where as Arya Vir Singh Jamwal is an Asian bronze medalist and a national champion in Roller hockey and had represented India in many Asians and world championship at Japan, South Korea, Macau and Taiwan.
