Government taking measures to strengthen JK’s developmental landscape

SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 26: The Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today chaired 19th Divisional Level Committee (DLC) meeting for implementation of Resettlement plan for sub-projects of J&K ERA under Asian Development Bank (ADB) funded Jammu & Kashmir Urban Development Investment Programme (JKUSDIP).
It was informed that land needs to be acquired for construction of outfall channel and chamber at Athwajan Drainage scheme.
The Divisional Commissioner directed concerned officers to initiate land acquisition process on fast track basis so that the project is completed in a time bound manner.
Various issues pertaining to other projects of ERA were also discussed threadbare in the DLC meeting.
Khan exhorted concerned to submit a complete report within a stipulated time so that the committee reviews all perspectives of ADB funded project in next meeting.
The Divisional Commissioner reiterated that government is taking measures for strengthening developmental infrastructure of Jammu and Kashmir.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, VC SDA Vikas Kundal, Superintending Engineers of ERA, PHE, R&B, KPDCL & UEED, Project Managers ERA, Collector Land Acquisition ERA, Joint Commissioner SMC, Deputy Director Estates and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
