SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 15: Commissioner SMC, Gazanfer Ali today convened a meeting of officials and reviewed status of work on installation of street lights in Srinagar City.
Joint Commissioner (Adm.), Syed Kasim, Joint Commissioner (Works), Ishtiyak Ahmed Shah and other concerned were present in the meeting.
On the occasion, Commissioner asked the electric and engineering wings to conduct survey of poles in Srinagar city for installation and repairing of street lights, within a week’s time.
Commissioner SMC also took stock of civil works of the Corporation and instructed the concerned to strictly adhere to the work norms.
Later, Commissioner visited press colony where he interacted with the journalists who appraised him about certain issues including de-clogging and covering of drains, installation of street lights, dustbins and removal of concertina wire in the Press Enclave.
Commissioner assured them that their grievances will be redressed on priority. He directed the concerned officer to identify space for construction of Public Convenience for males and females in the Press Enclave premises.
