Advisor Bhatnagar reviews dev, security scenario at Baramulla

BARAMULLA, FEBRUARY 07: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, R R Bhatnagar accompanied by senior officers from civil and police administration today visited Baramulla where he chaired a meeting to review the overall developmental and security scenario in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, Advisor stressed upon the concerned authorities to work with added zeal and dedication. He directed them to ensure public service delivery on priority. He emphasized on mobilizing available resources so that all the undertaken projects are completed within stipulated time frame. Moreover, he directed to setup a smooth and efficient public grievance redressel mechanism at different levels besides enlisting various other efforts of the government in this regard.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Mohammad Ahsan Mir briefed the Advisor about the pace of various developmental projects undertaken in different sectors. He informed that the district is leading on various developmental fronts adding that the district has witnessed tremendous growth in various sectors viz horticulture, agriculture, rural development etc. He also raised various issues and grievances and sought his personal intervention for their immediate redressal.

Earlier, the Advisor chaired a meeting to review the security situation and the requisite arrangements for maintaining law and order. He directed the concerned officers to maintain close liaison with the general public adding that every initiative shall be taken to maintain peace and order.

DIG North Kashmir, Principal GMC Baramulla, SSP Baramulla, SSP Sopore, CMO, JDP, CHO, CAO, ARTO and other officers of the Civil and police administration attended the meeting.
