Jammu, February 03: Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, former Minister called on Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Dr. Manyal apprised the Lt Governor of various issues of public importance including land acquisition for the expansion of Industrial Growth Centre (IGC) Samba, reservation in promotion for SC/STs, establishment of PMAY Colony in Panchayat Chajjwal, pending liabilities under MGNREGA, development of Purmandal-Uttarbehni on the lines of religious tourism, establishment of MCH centre at Samba etc. He also drew the Lt Governor’s attention towards sand mining related and other developmental issues of the Samba area.
The Lt Governor assured Dr. Manyal to review the genuine issues and demands put forth by him for their early redressal and urged him to continue working towards promoting public welfare.
