LAWDA’s enforcement wing demolishes Illegal constructions
SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 01: The enforcement wing of The Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) today demolished several illegal constructions in the areas of Shalimar Ghat Left/Right, Ishber and Laam.
One Showroom, two service stations, second storey of one house, one single storey house and one tin shed was demolished during the drive. The demolition team of Enforcement Wing of LDA removed the structures in spite of resistance from the public.
The enforcement wing said that strict action shall be taken against those found indulging in any sort of illegal constructions/encroachments in LDA jurisdiction. The demolition drive was assisted by the police personnel from PCR Srinagar, Police station Nishat and Harwan.
The Enforcement wing will continue with demolition of illegal construction moreover the Tipper/Load carried owners have been directed not to carry construction material in the prohibited area of Dal/ Nigeen Lake without permission.
