Advisor Bhatnagar conducts maiden Public hearing at Jammu

JAMMU, JANUARY 31: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar today said that the government has greatly improved the   grievance redressal mechanism to give the people a feel of good governance and accountability.

The Advisor was speaking at Public grievances redressal camp organised in connection with government’s public outreach programme, here at the Convention Centre. Around 250 people comprising 22 deputations and individuals called on the Advisor for redressal of their grievances.

The Advisor directed the concerned officers to fast pace the redressal of all the issues in a time bound manner and to the satisfaction of the people.

A delegation from Block Bhalwal, Jammu demanded construction of Public Health Centre in Nadwal area as well as Ambulance and X-ray facility at PHC Gharota. A deputation from Panchayat Halqa Pamshal, Doda, demanded construction of road from Bhella to Pamasa Panshal. Similarly a deputation from Panchayat Halqa, Latti demanded up-gradation of PHC Latti to CHC level.

A delegation of Kashmir Chamber of Agriculture and Horticulture demanded early redressal of issues faced by horticulture sector. They also demanded timely release of incentives.

A deputation of all J&K Home Guard Welfare Association demanded monthly honorarium at par with the Home Guards of other states. Another deputation of PHE land donors sought regularisation of their services.

Likewise, a deputation of daily wagers of Agriculture department demanded regularisation of their services.

Meanwhile a deputation of J&K Agriculture Officers Association demanded settlement of seniority issues and restructuring of the department. Another delegation of All Nursing Tutors demanded permanent absorption as Nursing tutors and elevation of senior tutors to the level of Principal.

A delegation of retired police personnel demanded removal of pension anomalies among their ranks and other benefits accruing to them.

Several individuals sought benefits of SRO-43.

Advisor Bhatnagar gave a patient hearing and assured the deputations and individuals that all genuine issues would be addressed in speedy manner.
