IISM concludes its 3rd Ski course at Gulmarg

Gulmarg, Jan 30: Indian Institute of Skiing & Mountaineering (IISM) completed its 3rd ski course at Gulmarg which witnessed the participation of more than 80 students from different parts of the country participated.

A concluding ceremony was held in which G N Itoo, DC Baramulla was the chief guest who gave away prizes & certificates to the winners of different skiing events. All local dignitaries of the district were present to encourage the students who had come from different places including Delhi, Bengal, Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh and various other cities and also many students from Kashmir.

JS Dhillon of IISM welcomed G N Itoo and other dignitaries and briefed them about the challenges faced by him to revive this defunct Institute of the Nation. With his & efforts of staff, IISM has now become a world class institute were all facilities are provided to impart high standards of training.

DC Baramulla appreciated huge efforts put in by Dhillon and his team to revive this Institute and complemented them for providing world class training to students. He said such training are the need to the hour and it develops strong bonding amongst students of different regions irrespective of their caste, creed or religion.

“Students were very happy to complete their training and appreciated the efforts of Instructors and staff to impart world class training to them. All of them wanted to come again as they feel this type of training not only teaches them the skill of skiing but also help them to transform their lives and enable them to get rid of many social evils,” the IISM said.
