J&K Bank Academy defeat AG’s XI 2:1

Srinagar: In the ongoing Annual League Football Tournament, two matches were played on at Synthetic Turf, TRC Srinagar.

First match was played between J&K SRTC XI & Jehlum Sports of Super Division in which Jehlum Sports defeated J&K SRTC XI by Two goals to one.

The second match of Premier Division was played between J&K Bank Football Academy & Accountant General Office Football Team (AG’s XI).The match started with a thrilling note with J&K Bank Academy dominating the early proceedings created chances which resulted in earning a goal in 4th Minute of Start. The goal was scored by Sahil Bashir for J&K Bank Academy.

In the 12th minute of Ist half Sajid of J&K Bank Academy scored another goal for his team. Ag’s XI were equally strong to repulse further attacks from the academy boys & tried to consolidate. The half time score was J&K Bank academy leading by two goals. In the second half there was a neck to neck play & the strong defence line of Academy Boys became an abstackle for AG’s XI forwards and could not score.

Ag’s XI were awarded a penalty kick for a gross Offence & were unfortunate enough not to find the net. In the dying minutes of the second half AG’s XI made a brilliant move and Khalid of AG’s XI scored a fantastic Goal. Ag’s XI tried hard to equalize but could not. The spectators enjoyed every movement of the game.

The final score was J&K Bank Academy two Goals & Ag’s XI one goal.

The tournament is organized by District Football Association Srinagar.
