BARAMULLA, AUGUST 03: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr. G. N. Itoo today convened a meeting of the officers of concerned departments to review the arrangements being put in place across the district for ensuing Eid-Ul-Azha.

Threadbare discussion was held on sanitation, traffic regulation, parking, health care facilities, supply of essential commodities, sale of sacrificial animals, drinking water, electricity etc.

In view of Eid-Ul-Azha, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure all possible arrangements in the district so that the people will not face any kind of inconvenience.

He directed the concerned officials to ensure proper cleanliness in and around Eidgahs and khanqahs. For smooth regulation of traffic, the DC directed the ARTO to ensure parking of vehicles in the premises of Deputy Register Cooperative’s office near Police station Baramulla, besides Boys Higher Secondary School ground and in the Old District Hospital premises Baramulla before three days of Eid. He also stressed for keeping adequate transport facility available for the public.

Regarding availability of sacrificial animals, the Deputy Commissioner directed Chief Animal Husbandry Officer that these animals should be sold only in Cariyaapa Park Baramulla and at Azadgunj to avoid traffic jam problem. He impressed upon the CMO and AD FCS&CA to ensure proper health care facilities and supply of essential commodities and LPG across the district.

The Deputy Commissioner urged the concerned to intensify market checking in the district to ensure quality and the rates of various eatables fixed by the government so that the people are not deceived.

Among others, ACR Baramulla besides other officers and representatives of various Auqaf Committees were present in the meeting.
