Secy Tribal Affairs finalizes prototype design for EMRS, G&B Hostels, TRIs construction

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 1: Secretary Tribal Affairs and Cooperatives, Abdul Majid Bhat today chaired a meeting here, to finalize Prototype Design prepared by PWD as per the guidelines approved by Government of India for the construction of Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS), Gujjar and Bakerwal (G&B) Hostels and Tribal Research Institute (TRI) for the students of Tribal Community.

Director Tribal Affairs, Mushtaq Ahmad; Secretary G&B Board, Mukhtar Ahmad; DGM, Housing Board, Aijaz Ahmad; DGM, JKPCC, Zulfkar Ahmad; Chief Engineer PWD, Kashmir; Chief Engineer PWD, Jammu and other concerned officials attend the meeting.

After holding threadbare interaction with the executing agencies, Secretary approved the prototype design with little modifications for implementation on the ground.

Secretary asked the executing agencies to make sure that the all the basic facilities should be included in the design. He said that tribal communities should be given all the developmental benefits, as they lack behind in development aspect.

Secretary further asked the executing agencies to speed up the pace of work on various ongoing projects so that the tribal students get benefited at an earliest. He further directed the officials to not delay any developmental work.
