Srinagar: An army soldier was killed in cross-border firing in Sunderbani sector of district Rajouri on Tuesday.

A senior Police officer told news agency GNS that an army man was killed after Pakistan restored to unprovoked firing towards Indian posts.

The officer further said that Indian Army responded strongly and caused heavy damage to Pak Army posts and inflicted casualties to Pak soldiers.

The officer Identified slain soldier as Naik Krishan Lal (34) son of  Krishan Lal resident of Village Ghagriyal, Akhnoor.
