Ganderbal, July 29: A spell of moderate rainfall is enough to cause water logging in Arch village of Ganderbal district.

Local residents said that Roads and Building (R&B) department is spending huge money on constructing roads but without proper planning. “There is no drainage system along roadside as a result; the road remains waterlogged most of the time,” they said.

“We suffer a lot while commuting on the road. It can even cause accidents. Pedestrians face a lot of problem. They are compelled to take other path during rainy days,” they added.

Muzaffar Ahmad a local resident said, “During rainfall, children can’t even go to school due to waterlogging on the road. The water even enters into our lawns.”
