Two drug peddler arrested from Srinagar, one from Sopore

Srinagar: One drug peddler was arrested by police in Sopore while as two others were arrested from Srinagar. Police has continued its action against drug peddlers in Sopore  and arrested 01 drug peddler who was evading his arrest from a  long time.

Police said that a drug peddler identified as Muzafar Ahmad Shah son of Mohd Sultan Shah resident of Adipora Sopore town was arrested from Soppore and huge consignment of drugs (Spasmoproxyvon capsules) were seized from his possession. He was involved in drug peddling case FIR NO. 112/2019 U/S 8/22 NDPS act of Police Station Sopore.

Meanwhile, two drug peddlers were arrested at a check point established at Boulchpora Soura.

The arrested drug peddlers were identified as Zahoor Ahmad Sheikh son of Ali Mohd Sheikh resident of Alamgari Bazar and Ayaz Ahmad Parah son of Javid Hussain Parah resident of Bemina.

They have been shifted to Police Station Soura where they remain in custody. Contraband substance including Spasmoproxyvon capsules have been seized from their possession by the officers, police said.

Case FIR No. 59/2019 under relevant sections of law has been registered and initiated investigation in the matter.
