CJ Gita Mittal attends Skill Development prog at Harwan

SRINAGAR, JULY 27: Chief Justice of J&K High Court, Gita Mittal today attended Skill Development Programme at Observation Home at Harwan, Srinagar.

The programme was organized by J&K ICPS in collaboration with Delhi based Skill Development Institute (PRIMERO).

The Chief Justice was accompanied by State Mission Director, ICPS, G A Sofi, Secretary Juvenile Justice Committee and Principal Secretary to Chief Justice.

During the visit, the Chief Justice was informed that a facility for linking of District Juvenile Justice Boards with the Observation Home through video-conferencing is being established and is at the stage of finalization. The facility is being created to ensure that the children who are in conflict with law will get timely justice.

To create the job opportunities/establishment of trade units, a special ROZGAR MELA is also being organized in the premises of the observation Home, Harwan on 6th of August, 2019.

During the visit, the Chief Justice interacted with the inmates of the Observation Home and observed that positive changes are visible in the attitude of the inmates. She lauded the efforts of the concerned staff and department in this regard.
