DDC Ganderbal takes stock of road clearance at Zojila

GANDERBAL, JULY 26: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ganderbal Hashmat Ali Khan today visited Zojila, Sonamarg to take the first-hand appraisal of clearance work of the road at Zojila which is blocked due to landslides caused by cloud burst on Thursday.

The DDC reviewed the progress on the clearance work of the road. He interacted with the officials of BRO who are maintaining the road and directed them to expedite the road clearance work so that the road is thrown open at the earliest.

He also appealed the people to check the status of the road before starting their journey.

Earlier DDC along with the team of revenue officials visited Pandach-Beehama road project to inspect the pace and progress of work on the prestigious project.

During the visit, ACR Ganderbal apprised the DDC about the progress of land acquisition and briefed the DDC about the pace and progress of work on the project.

The DDC directed the concerned executing agency to expedite the progress of work and clear the bottlenecks, if any, so that the project is completed at earliest for the benefit of commuters as it will help in smooth traffic movement in district Ganderbal.
