Srinagar, July 23: In the opening match of Inter-college Football Tournament, Government Degree College (GDC) Ganderbal beat GDC Bijbehara by 3 goals to 2 in a tie breaker.
Irfan Mir’s first half goal gave GDC Kangan lead. The lead was short-lived as GDC Bijbehara put one goal back and equalized the score.
Abrar scored second goal for GDC Kangan. GDC Bijbehara found another equalizer .
Match was decided on tiebreaker were GDC Kangan emerged victorious by 3 goals to 2.
Second match of day witnessed a lopsided encounter in which IITM Hyderpora thrashed GDC Hadipora by 6 goals to 0.
32 colleges of Kashmir division are participating in the Tourney.
The tournament is being organised by Directorate of Physical Education University of Kashmir.
