Former NC, PDP Halqa Presidents from Sonwar, Corporators from Khansahib join PC

Srinagar, July 23: Political workers from Srinagar and Budgam districts on Tuesday joined Peoples Conference party in presence of party Chief Spokesperson and Mayor Srinagar Junaid Azim Mattoo.

According to the PC spokesperson, a number of senior workers from NC and PDP pledged their allegiance to the Peoples Conference, expressing their commitment to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.

“The new joinees are committed to work with utmost honesty, diligence and passion to bring about a change in the political system of our state that is unfortunately based on the tenets of corruption, nepotism and economic persecution,” the spokesperson said.

They also expressed full faith in PC leadership to address the concerns of the people irrespective of their party affiliation, region or religion in order to take the state towards peace, progress and development,” the spokesperson added.

Those who joined the party, according to the spokesperson, include Former NC Halqa President Khonmoh, Haji Abdul Qayoom and former PDP Halqa President Khonmoh Jenab Abdul Rashid Takya, Corporator Khan Sahib Tanveer, Counsellor Mohd Iqbal Shah, Tanveer Gul, Bashir Ahmad Najar, Atiqa Bano and Parveena Bano among others
