SRINAGAR, JULY 23: A book releasing function was organized by the Nigeeni Cultural Foundation in collaboration with Directorate of Information and Public Relations here today.
The book titled “Khayali Haq” authored by Farooqa Parveen was released by Drakshan Andrabi, Member Central Waqf Council in presence of Director Information and Public Relations Gulzar Ahmad Shabnum.
Speaking on the occasion, Director Information congratulated the author for bringing out a book with depth on a very important subject. He expressed the hope that the author would continue her work in the field of literature and poetry.
He said feminist writers require more appreciation and encouragement to give vent their literary potential and getting them a due space in literary circles.
Darakshan Andrabi, on the occasion said that research-oriented books undertaken by the author would provide insight in the work of writer on Sufism. She said that it would serve as a good referral to the writers as well as researchers on the subject.
Eminent writer and broadcaster Abdul Ahad Farhad gave a brief overview of the relevance of book in the present context.
The function was attended by several intellectuals, writers and cultural activists from different parts of the state.
