DDC hands over 30 dustbins to Kupwara Municipal Committee

KUPWARA, JULY 23: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara Anshul Garg handed over 30 dustbins, costing Rs 10 lakh to Municipal Committee Kupwara at a function organized here today.

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that District Administration has approved Rs 80.93 lakh for modernization and beautification of Kupwara town, this fiscal, adding that various other beautification works have yielded good result at ground level. He stressed the need for sensitization of the people especially youth to help the administration in making Kupwara town greener and cleaner.

The DDC asked Executive Officer (EO) to strictly adhere to the directions that all dry and wet waste is timely collected and dumped at proper places.

While appreciating the role of Municipal Committee, Kupwara,  the DDC urged upon  the employees  to put extra efforts to achieve the goal of segregation of waste to make Kupwara more green and clean.
