Wular Premier League: City Hunks, Dawood Spots register victories

Sopore, July 22: In the ongoing Wular Premier League (WPL), Today’s first match was played between Baba x1 and City Hunks Srinagar at Sheikhul Alam Sports Ground Tarzoo Sopore.

Baba x1 Won the toss and opted to bat first. The team scored 104 runs. Syed Rasool and Shahid played well as they scored 25 runs each.

For City Hunks Srinagar, Amir Aziz took 3 wickets each. Faisal Dar took 2 wickets.

In reply, City Hunks achieved the target very easily after losing two wickets in which Nisar made 33 runs and Sahil scored 42 runs.

For Baba x1, Rawalpora Lateef and Mehraj took 1 wicket each.

Aamir Azizi was declared man of the match for his brilliant performance of three wickets.

In second match of the day, Dawood Sports Bijbhara beat FCC Andergam by six wickets.

FCC Andergam managed to score 134 runs. Bilal was the top scorer with 29 runs and Mir Hassan made 24 runs.

For Dawood Sports Bijbehara, Sajad and Touqeer took 3 wickets each.

In reply, Dawood Sports Bijbehara chased the target easily in the 18th over for the loss of four wickets.

For Dawood Sports, Rizwan played a fine inning of 51 runs and Hamid played an unbeaten knock of 50 runs.

For FCC Andergam, Bilal took 2 wickets.

Taqeer was declared man of the match for his brilliant performance of 3 wickets.

Throughout the day large number of spectators thronged the cricket field.

This tournament is organised by Sports Association Tarzoo.
