Srinagar, Jul 22: On the 22nd day of the ongoing Amarnath Yatra, 13,377 pilgrims paid obeisance at the cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas.

Cumulatively, since the beginning of the pilgrimage on July 01, 2019, some 2,85,381 pilgrims have had ‘darshan’ at the cave.

The SASB spokesman said that during last year’s Yatra, the total number of pilgrims who visited cave shrine in 50 days was 2,85,006, whereas this year the pilgrimage has crossed this number in 22 days.

He also informed that a critically sick pilgrim Vijay Rathore, a resident of Rajkot Gujarat, and a CRPF official Phool Kanwar, ASI, were evacuated by helicopter today from Sheshnag and Brarimarg respectively. The spokesman added that 14 critically sick pilgrims were evacuated by the Shrine Board for immediate specialized treatment.
