DDC chairs capacity building programme at Kupwara

KUPWARA, JULY 20: A day-long training cum capacity building programme for Administrators, Panchayat Inspectors and secretary Panchayats of district Kupwara was held at town hall under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Anshul Garg.

On the occasion various speakers and  instructors  spoke on different  topics including role and responsibilities of secretary panchayats, social audit, maintenance of Karwai Register, Panchayat Budget Preparation, General Instructions for making PRIs successful, Financial code/work authorisation and Halqa Majlis ( Gram Sabha) panchayat own resource generation.

The DDC in his speech said that the Administrators, Panchayat Inspectors and Secretary Panchayats have a key role in developing the district at grass root levels.  He impressed upon the concerned authorities that all the stakeholders of the village including Panchs, civil society members and senior citizens should be present in the Gram Sabha to frame any plan for the development of their respective Panchatyat halqas. He said that Panchayat Inspectors and Secretary Panchayats should capture photographs and videos for record.

DC directed Secretary Panchayats to keep a close liaison with higher authorities to get proper guidance if any problem or issue is raised.
