GANDERBAl July 20: More than a decade has passed since the construction of Lala Sahab Bridge started in Warpora Ganderbal but the project is still incomplete.

Local residents said that they face a lot of problems while traveling to district headquarters. “The bridge connects five villages, Malpora, Arch, Guzarbal, Babsipora and Arampora to main town Ganderbal. We have to take other long routes to reach to the town,” they said.

They said that a footbridge was constructed at the place where the motorable bridge is being constructed. “After waiting for almost 7 years, a motorable bridge was earmarked but since then it progress has been marred by delays.

When contacted BDO Ganderbal said, “99% of work on the bridge has been completed. Within ten days, the remaining work will be also completed.”
